| Support the booster club barbeque and raffle (March 19, 2001) |
There is a booster club barbeque dinner this saturday. Tickets are $6. One dollar of each ticket will go directly to the lacrosse team fund. Checks should be made payable to Riverside Booster Club. People can call Coach Kirkley or contact someone in the booster club. When you buy a ticket, you should write "Lacrosse" on the back of your ticket(s). People may pick up their dinners and eat them in the stands during our game on Saturday. It will also save people having to cook on the day of the prom. Also, the annual Booster Club raffle will be held in April. Tickets are $100. Every 25th ticket drawn wins $1000. Each ticket entitles the holder to two dinners the night of the raffle. There will also be other donated prizes drawn. People can group together to buy tickets (4 people each at $25.) Call Coach Kirkley for tickets. A good representation by lacrosse folks would really be good.

| Our Web site now has a message board (March 17, 2001) |
We now have a message board for the use not only of our players, parents and fans, but also any lacrosse fans in North Carolina or nationally who might want to make a comment or an observation. Many high school sports message boards and internet forums have had to be taken down recently because of inappropriate language and comments. But I feel confident that our lacrosse community will not engage in such practices. Feel free to use the board to get the word out about something (like the recent game cancellation), comment on upcoming games, send messages of encouragement and discuss rules changes, etc. When you use it for the first time it may take a while to download some java applets needed to use the board. If you get a message asking if you want to download something from Allaire Corp., just say OK. Click here to get to the new rhslacrosse.com message board. Remember to use it wisely, humorously and informatively.

| Ad space still available for two more program printings (March 15, 2001) |
There will be two more printings of our program this season and advertising space is still available. Cyndy Severns needs some of you natural-born sellers to hit the bricks and fill up those unsold holes. The deadlines for the two printings are March 20 and April 9. Camera-ready art is preferred but ads can be produced from scratch. A 1/4-page ad is $50, a 1/2 page is $100 and a full page is $200. Also, parents can buy a star for $25. Contact Cyndy at 919-660-3610, fax your ad to her at 919-681-7600, or email her at cyndy@duke.edu.
