![]() | Head Coach Jim Kirkley Coach Kirkley has been the Riverside lacrosse coach since 1993, the second year of the program. In 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2002 his teams won the NCHSLA (public school) championship. He has 21 years of coaching experience in Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and North Carolina. He played college lacrosse at Bucknell University, where he was a long stick defenseman. He has a master's degree in divinity from Gordon-Conwell Seminary and a Ph.D. from Duke University. Every summer he punishes his aging body by playing in the master's division at the Vail Shootout. He has been known to become agitated at the occasional officiating call, prompting a visiting fan once to exclaim, "This guy's an ordained minister?" |
| Asst. Coach Pete Kitrinos Pete Kitrinos takes over the offensive coaching duties in 2003 as a result of former assistant coach Glenn Estacio's move to Chapel Hill. Pete hails from Annapolis, Md., where he played at St. Mary's High School. He was a starting middie at the University of New Haven, graduating in 1996. After graduation he was an assistant coach at New Haven, a Div. II school. Since moving to the Triangle area he has played for the Great Atlantic Lacrosse Club team in Chapel Hill and been an assistant coach at Cardinal Gibbon and at Jordan. He is an analytical chemist at GlaxoSmithKline. | ![]() |
