| 2005 North Carolina Public Schools Lacrosse Conferences |
| Below are the North Carolina lacrosse conferences for 2005. Some of them are mixed 4A and 2A/3A conferences due to geography.
At the end of the year, there will be two playoffs and championships. There
are 24 4A teams and 11 2A/3A teams. Sixteen teams will be in the 4A playoffs;
8 in the 2A/3A playoffs. East Chapel Hill, since they will move into the PAC
VI 4A conference next year for all sports, was kept in the 4A playoffs. Only conferences that are state-recognized conferences and which also recognize lacrosse as an official sport hold conference tournaments and crown conference champions. These include the PAC VI and the Metro 4A. The lacrosse league conferences that are created just for the sake of lacrosse, and which are not state-recognized conferences, do not award trophies for champions or have tourneys at the end of the regular season. |
