![]() | Head Coach Jim Kirkley Coach Kirkley has been the Riverside lacrosse coach since 1993, the second year of the program. In 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2002 his teams won the NCHSLA (public school) championship. He has 29 years of coaching experience in Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and North Carolina. He played college lacrosse at Bucknell University, where he was a long stick defenseman. He has a master's degree in divinity from Gordon-Conwell Seminary and a Ph.D. from Duke University. Most summers he punishes his aging body by playing in the master's division at the Vail Shootout. Coach Kirkley is an ordained minister and is an associate professor Ethics and Religion in the Religion and Philosophy Department of Shaw University in Raleigh. |

| Assistant Coach Glenn Estacio Coach Estacio has been involved with North Carolina high school lacrosse for many years. As a player, he was a product of the program at Durham Academy, where he played on two state championship teams. In 1996, Estacio began his coaching career as an assistant coach/offensive coordinator for Coach Kirkley for seven years, during which time the Pirates won four state titles. In 2003, Estacio became the head coach at Chapel Hill High School. During his tenure, the Tigers won NCHSLA State Championships in 2003, 2007, and 2008, and also appeared in the finals in 2006. |
