WG
Their run is over, might finish up .500 this spring... Depoppas. If you dont know this kid, dont rag on him. He is ONE of the many best players in the state. He is the type of player all coaches enjoy coaching.

re WG
It wouldnt matter if Dave Peitremalla was the coach. They dont have a chance.

Page
Like everyone else we are all tired of the Page talk. They get to the playoffs and lose every year. There goalie is gone and most of there scoring threats. We will see when its time to play how good they really are. You cant run a team on one or two players. Rumor has it that that newman kid the middie isnt even playing this year for some reason. Good luck Pirates youll need it.

WG
Can some one tell me how WG is doing during the fall. are they palying in any tournaments? Do they have any chance this spring without lambo?

Record?
If he could change the tide of a game that much there record would reflect it? what was their record agian last year? how far did they get in playoffs?

D-pop not one of the best in the state?
You are telling me the kid who as a freshman on varsity led Grimsley with around 6 goals against Riverside with Kercher(however you spell it) and a well talented team who is currently playing on Maryland that speaks for itself on how he can defiantly change the tide of a game.

Battle at the Beach - local teams results correction
The table of 'Battle' results is appreciated, but the Carrboro team actually won the game with Toxic, and went 2 and 2 for the day.

"Power" face-off guy?
22 :02 11/14/2008
depopas one of best in state?
I've seen and played against that kid. He's good, but not one of the best in the state, with kids like Braxton (Providince), John Haus (Chapel Hill), and a power face-off guy like Culen Wilson (East), Depopas is good, but he isn't a threat like these guys who can change the tide of a game. I think Grimsley's record reflects this.

I'll keep my privacy
but me and my teammates have played four tournaments this fall already. One more coming up next weekend. See you at the state championship.

Sepp Stephens
The post below on Sepp was not quite right. Saturday was the semi-final of the CUFLA championship (the Baggataway Cup). McGill defeated Brock, the winner of the past six Baggataway Cups, 13-9. They lost to Guelph in the final 14-9 on Sunday. You can get descriptions of both games here.
McGill is optimistic about next year. Only three players graduate and they return their entire starting defense (including Sepp) and their four top scorers.
To the couch potato who posed this question --- what did you and your team do this past weekend????

Beach Battle results
Craig Marshall sends along some local scores from the Battle at the Beach.
In the RHS-NSHS game, Carson Sterling won the faceoff in a "Braveheart" and raced down the left side of the field to score one-on-one against the NSHS goalie. Sterling and teammate Jackson Marshall were named to the All-Tournament Team. Don't have the score for the East-W'msburg championship game.

And the competition was...
Who?
10 :45 11/9/2008
East
East won the tournament. And that was without Thomas Meyer, Kord Scharfonberg, and Noel Myers, all starters from last season who couldnt make it this weekend..... Looks like East might be kind of good.....

Pete Wesselman, goalie, commits to Stevenson University. Greg Bash, face-off man, commits to Christopher Newport University. That makes three from Providence with Tucker Hull having already committed to Navy. Congratulations boys.

Western
i heard that fiery wasn't offered the position. that's why he took ragsdale. knowing him and his involvement with the kids at western, it would only make sense that if he were offered western, he'd take it.
11 :19 11/2/2008
these past months
these past months have been very tough for western players parents and assistant coaches. we lost all of our coaches. lost all of our organization and most of our team lost their confidence in us winning not having lambo or seus fiery was offered the job but he didnt get it. we have an all new coaching staff but no clear direction except for the path of winning.

Fiery as Ragsdale Coach???
If Fiery's worked with Western for the past several years, why wasn't he offered the head coaching position there? Why the switch to Ragsdale?
